Who doesn't love an Easter Egg Hunt? Similar to finding keys in Ready Player One, finding Easter Eggs could prove incredibly popular with the Earth 2 community.

It's coming.. an Easter Egg Hunt and it will be in March! One goal of ours has always been for Earth 2 to become a place where opportunities may come from effort & this hunt, in a way, is the beginning of such ideology.

The hunt has not started yet & there will be ample warning before it starts. It will also be fair and will include rules. This is the introduction of the Easter Egg concept to Earth 2 but it does not mean Easter Eggs will always been used in this way and yes, there may be more to it than what you see. The hunt may also be linked with the launch of phase 2. For those that don't know, phase 2 will allow land to generate different types of tradeable resources.
All tiles will also produce essence, which will allow you to spend it to gain resources from the tiles you own.
Other features which will be introduced in phase 2 which are unlikely to be related to the Easter Eggs are advertising, and digital assets (renting out land to others).
Many people were quick to indicate that the Easter Eggs may be linked to precious metals and resource gathering, such as Copper, Silver and Gold.
Others were excited about the potential of Easter Egg NFTs (Non fungible tokens).
However, what we find interesting is a recent FAQ released on Earth 2's Discord;
Are other users allowed to loot/find/keep resources on a land that is owned by me?
We are not releasing these details yet, but possibly in the future from a 'look' perspective, if loot is found on land you own there 'could' be a benefit associated back to you. This is not definite but it's in the plans for now. We want to make owning land have numerous benefits moving forward and it seems fair if a player finds something on your land that you receive something for it as well!
For resource production on land that is a little different, we do have plans for something interesting also in this area but it's too early to release those details.

Whether these Easter Eggs will be rewarded for completing certain tasks, solving puzzles and clues, or randomly finding them on someone's land is currently unknown.
